SPEA’s International Public Affairs Association (IPAA) will hold its 4th Annual Spring Conference on Friday, March 25, 2011. This year’s conference will feature a keynote address by Mr. Carl Gershman, president of the National Endowment for Democracy, entitled “Democracy’s New Moment: A Forward Strategy for Advancing Freedom in the World.” Panels will explore issues including environmental sustainability, foreign aid and economic development, international law, marginalized communities, and public administration. Faculty, students and guests are encouraged to attend and may register for free by emailing ipaa@indiana.edu.
The conference will take place in SPEA 167 and 169 from 8 am to 5:30 pm. Mr. Gershman’s lecture will take place in SPEA 167 at 12:15 pm.
